Our animal encounters give children the opportunity to get
hands-on with reptiles and other animals under the supervision
of our team.
Our encounter animals are accustomed to appropriate supervised
handling; however, they remain animals and their behaviour cannot
be guaranteed.
Please read the participation and risk information contained in
the consent form below carefully before giving permission for your

Participation & Risk Acknowledgement
Animal Encounters provides supervised opportunities for children to interact with and handle reptiles and other animals.
Our encounter animals are accustomed to appropriate supervised handling; however, they remain animals and their behaviour cannot be guaranteed. Participation therefore carries an inherent risk of bites, scratches, skin irritation, infection or other accidental injury.
Children must follow the instructions given by Animal Encounters staff at all times. Staff may restrict or stop any interaction where they consider it necessary for the safety of the child, other participants or the welfare of an animal.
Parents and guardians must tell us about any relevant allergies, medical conditions or additional needs before participation. Participants must also follow hygiene instructions, including washing their hands after animal contact.
By providing consent below, you confirm that you have read and understood this information and give permission for your child to participate in the supervised Animal Encounters handling experience.
